What does Child, Youth and Family do?
The work of Child, Youth, and Family (CYF) focuses on children, young people and their families who are disadvantaged, or lack the basic resources or conditions necessary for achieving positive life outcomes. As such, CYF deals with a relatively small sub-section of the population.
Resources
Privacy issues constrain the ability to provide anything other than highly aggregated statistics as in the Annual Reports. CYF reports on client volumes with or through the department. The client profile can be broken down by age, gender, ethnicity, location, and type of placement. Overall, CYF does not have detailed demographic profiles.
