What does the Ministry of Justice do?
The Ministry of Justice provides strategic, policy and legislative leadership for the justice sector. In addition the Ministry provides administrative support services to the Courts and a wide range of Tribunals and Authorities. The Ministry’s Collections Unit is responsible for the collection of Court-imposed fines and also collects fines on behalf of the Police and Territorial Local Authorities when those agencies have been unable to collect them themselves.
